Natural Resources Canada generates and publicizes science data and information aimed at an improved assessment of the sensitivity and response of Canada's landmass and coastal areas to the effects of a changing climate.


Climate change and Canada's forests: from impacts to adaptation (2009) - this report summarizes the current state of knowledge of current and future impacts of climate change and its implications for forest management.

The Importance of Forest Sector Adaptation to Climate Change - provides an assessment of the implications of climate change for the Canadian forest sector. The intended audience is scientists and technical specialists interested in understanding the potential extent of climate change, the possible impacts and why adaptation is an important issue for the sector.

From Impacts to Adaptation: Canada in a Changing Climate 2007 – reflects the advances made in understanding Canada's vulnerability to climate change during the past decade.

Adapting to Climate Change: An Introduction for Canadian Municipalities (2006) - represents a starting point for municipalities and communities that have not yet formally considered adaptation in their planning processes.

Economics of climate change - the goal of this theme is to assess the socioeconomic effects of climate change on the Canadian forest sector and to evaluate the economic costs and benefits of alternative adaptation strategies.
