- Hydrogeological Map
- A map showing Canada’s nine hydrogeological regions, together with various factors that affect groundwater properties, has been released by the Atlas of Canada.
- Next-gen Topo Maps
- 85 revised, next-generation topographic maps at 1:50 000 scale covering areas across Canada — including central, northern and western Ontario; Baffin Island; and the central Arctic — have been recently released.
- Watershed mapping methods
- Earth observation data and ground surveys have been used to create a detailed map and statistics related to Lake Geraldine, Iqaluit, Nunavut.
- Monitoring Wetlands with RADAR
- A specialized technique — the Touzi decomposition method — has been developed for wetland mapping and monitoring and applied for wetland classification using simulated RADARSAT-2 data.

- The Mallik 2007/08 Gas Hydrate Production Test Team was recently recognized by Natural Resources Canada for achieving its scientific and technical objectives.

- Aboriginal Lands data layer
- The Aboriginal Lands data layer, available at GeoBase, promotes the use of a common geometric representation for Aboriginal Lands in Canada.
- The New Geological Map of the Arctic
- The Geological Survey of Canada joined the geological surveys of Russia, the United States, Norway, Sweden and Denmark to create and publish the largest Geological Map of the Arctic.
